Inspired by discovering a message in a bottle floating in the ocean,  the bottle is cut at 111°, giving the lamp a feeling of constant movement. The contrast between the angle of the bottle and the concrete base gives a feeling of weight and stability that balances the lamp visually. The bottle is cut to 111°, because in calculating the weight and height of the bottle, it is the only angle at which the bottle remains stable. The connection between rough industrial concrete and transparent glass creates an interesting contrast and discourse between materials.
